Remove the seeds of the chilli and cut it finely
Remove the woody stems of the lime leaves, roll them in shape of a cigar and cut them in fine slices.
Put diced chilli, sliced lime leaves, finely chopped garlic, grated ginger and peanuts into the grinder. Add some sugar, salt and shrimp paste
Grind to a coarse paste and add sweet soy sauce (Kecap Manis) and coconut milk
Add some lime juice and grind it more to make a smooth paste
Peanut sauce is ready for the Gado Gado salad and can also be eaten with skewered meats
