Join us for an exciting Indian cooking class using fresh and fragrant ingredients to create a traditional South Indian Masala Dosa. Learn the art of making crispy Dosas (rice and lentil pancakes) which we will then stuff with South Indian potatoes and accompany with spicy Sambar (lentils and vegetables) and fresh coconut chutney.

What is Dosa?
A dosa is a thin pancake or crepe, originating from South India, served mainly for breakfast but also throughout the day. It is made from a fermented batter of lentils and rice. Its main ingredients are rice and black gram ground together in a fine, smooth batter with a dash of salt, then fermented.

What will you do? 
In this workshop, you will learn to make
1. Masala Dosa from a fermented batter. You will learn how to ferment the batter, what the consistency of the batter should be and the technique of spreading the batter to create Crisp Dosas
2. South Indian potato filling that makes a plain dosa into Masala dosa
3. Spicy Sambar ( spiced lentils with vegetables)
4. Fresh coconut chutney
