Born and raised in China, Huan moved to Germany in 2010 to pursue her Master degree, the biggest challenge back then for her was not German language, but rather the lack of Chinese cuisines. Fortunately, she had already picked up a lot of cooking knowledge from watching her mom and grandma cook back home. With a busy work schedule, Huan prefers to cook simple and fast recipes with ingredients easily found everywhere – she’s very smart in finding replacement of rare Asian ingredients with local products, but one ingredient that she’s always loyal to: soy sauce!
