Born in a noodle shop family in a small village in Thailand, Thanya’s whole life has been about cooking and eating. From a very young age, she got up early in the morning to help her mother set up a pot of noodle soup, chop vegetables, cut meat and fry garlic. The aroma of fried garlic and broth became an important part of her life. From Street food shop to a Bangkok restaurant, she followed her mother and learnt all the essentials of Thai cooking. After moving to Europe, she adopted her cooking skills to match with local ingredients while retaining the real Thai flavours. Her kitchen has never been out of fish sauce.
